HR Business Partner

McAneny Brothers, Inc., is a growing, full-service wholesaler, distributer and grocery store operator located in Ebensburg, Pa.  We are searching for an HR Business Partner to support our retail operations located in western and central Pa.

This position will provide HR support to the managers and employees of the various retail locations. Will also provide assistance to the Corporate Human Resource Director on companywide projects. 


  • Functions as a liaison for retail employee communications and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, and one-on-one meetings. 
  • Helps monitor the culture of the organization to support the attainment of the company’s goals and strategic objectives as well as promote employee satisfaction.
  • Assist with additional ongoing HR projects (including but not limited to employee appreciation events, luncheons, parties, etc.)
  • Attends safety, health / wellness and workplace improvement meetings, and participates as necessary.
  • Responsible for updating Human Resource Director on all activities related to retail locations. 
  • Schedule and deliver in-house training programs for all retail locations and maintains records.
  • Supports the recruitment process at retail locations for exempt and non-exempt employees when needed. 
  • Provide assistance for onboarding at retail locations.
  • Assists with conducting investigations of employee complaints or concerns. Assists Store Managers on personnel issues.
  • Ensures compliance with all labor regulations.  Delivers remedial training when needed.
  • Responsible for assisting with benefit administration and open enrollment.
  • Assist in the use of any performance management process that would including performance development plans, training and employee development plans for retail locations. 
  • Maintain and participate in ongoing HR training and certification programs. 
  • Assist with additional ongoing HR projects (including but not limited to employee appreciation events, luncheons, parties, etc.)
  • Assist in the preparation and collection of worker’s compensation reports for retail employees as necessary.  



Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development or related field and several years of HR related work experience.

HR certification a plus.


Maintain a presence at the retail locations on a regular basis. Approximately 25% travel is required.
